The beloved Miles Davis Bootleg Series captures two decades of pivotal live performances by one of the most influential artists of the 20th century. The series contains some of the most important key moments in Davis’s career: his second great quintet (1967), the electric revolution (1969-70) and his historic performances at Newport spanning from the 1950s to his jazz-funk years in the mid-1970s. 

The recordings were originally curated and released by Sony and Columbia on CD as part of the original Bootleg Series. The vinyl treatments presented a clear opportunity for Music On Vinyl. With the continued global demand for premium jazz on vinyl from Miles Davis, there was a strong case to bring these historically significant recordings to the audiophile market in the form of high-quality top-end box set configurations.
