HR Advisor

At Bertus, HR doesn't set policy from a distance. You're right in the middle of the organisation: close to the people in the warehouse, alongside the teams in the office, and at the table with management and leadership. As HR Advisor, you get plenty of room and freedom, and you're responsible yourself for what you make of it.

The pace is high and no two days are the same. In the morning you handle a complex absence case with the occupational physician, in the afternoon you build a new salary structure or prepare the next appraisal cycle. You switch smoothly between operational and strategic work.

We're looking for someone who keeps the basics in order while also building the HR function of tomorrow. Someone who knows what's happening on the work floor, handles cases sharply and legally correctly, and gets energy from projects that genuinely move the organisation forward. This role is a maternity leave replacement for a colleague on the team.

Profile

Who you are

•          You have a completed bachelor's (HBO) or master's (WO) degree, preferably in HRM, work and organisational psychology, or employment law

•          You have extensive experience as an HR professional, with a solid foundation in absence management and HR operations, ideally in an international environment

•          You have a demonstrable track record of independently setting up or further developing HR projects such as appraisal cycles, salary structures or HR3P

•          You know employment law and the Dutch Gatekeeper Improvement Act inside and out

•          You communicate directly and firmly, and can hold a meaningful conversation with both leadership and a warehouse employee

•          You enjoy working in an environment where not everything is set in stone and you can set your own direction. Standing still isn't for you

Activities

What you'll be doing

•          You independently handle absence cases, from short-term to complex, long-running files. Dutch Gatekeeper Improvement Act (Wet verbetering poortwachter), reintegration processes, occupational physician and UWV: you handle it

•          You work not only reactively but also proactively through projects around vitality, absence prevention and risk assessments (RI&E)

•          You advise and coach managers on personnel matters: performance, appraisals, employment conditions, in- and outflow, and employment law issues

•          You set up and run HR projects. Think a new appraisal cycle, a salary structure that goes international, strategic workforce planning (HR3P), a review of employment conditions, or a sustainable employability policy

•          You spot what's going on and translate it into policy, processes and concrete actions

•          You keep operational HR matters sharp: contracts, arrangements, legal issues and collaboration with payroll administration
