Sales Team Lead – Rest of World & Netherlands

As Sales Team Lead Rest of World & Netherlands, you will be responsible for managing, supervising, and developing two diverse sales teams. You combine leadership with daily coaching and know how to connect teams, bring structure, and achieve commercial results in a dynamic, national, and international environment. Profile

You have extensive experience (5–8 years) in a commercial leadership role, preferably in an international B2B environment.

  • You are a people manager: you get the best out of different personalities.

  • You combine strategic insight with a hands-on mentality.

  • You manage based on data, targets, and forecasts, but never lose sight of relationships and people development.

  • You feel comfortable in an international context with different markets, time zones, and customer types.

  • You communicate clearly, switch easily between teams and stakeholders, and dare to make decisions.

  • You enjoy working in an environment where not everything is set in stone and where you actively contribute to further professionalization.

Bertus is growing rapidly and the markets are constantly changing. This requires a sales leader who maintains an overview, provides direction, and brings energy.

Activities

As Sales Team Lead – Rest of World & Netherlands, you will lead two sales teams, each with its own dynamics:

  • Rest of World: an international team of five Inside Sales Representatives, each responsible for their own region, with customers in Canada, the US, Japan, Australia, and other countries.

  • Netherlands: a team of 3 account managers operating in a mature, competitive home market with intensive customer relationships.

  • You will be part of the Sales Leadership Team, working with 3 other Sales Team Leads who manage the European sales regions. You will report to the Head of Sales.

Your tasks include:

  • Translating strategic objectives into concrete annual plans, account plans, team goals, and individual goals.

  • Being responsible for achieving the revenue and margin targets within your teams.

  • Mandate to provide direction within the set frameworks for team structure, priorities, and commercial approach.

  • You actively participate in the management of (key) accounts and, together with the account managers, build sustainable and strategic customer relationships.

  • You play an active role in change and improvement processes within the teams.

  • You coach and develop sales professionals (inside sales and account managers) in commercial skills, account management, and ownership.

  • You encourage knowledge sharing and best practices between the different regions and teams.

  • You work closely with purchasing, marketing, customer care, and supply chain to maximize commercial opportunities.

  • You actively contribute to the further professionalization of sales processes, reporting, and CRM use.

  • Depending on customer and team needs, you will occasionally travel within the Netherlands.
